The German Endoprosthesis Register (EPRD) collects and analyses data on hip prostheses in order to improve the quality of care with artificial hip joints in Germany. The register records information on various aspects of hip prostheses, such as the age and gender of the patients, the implant type, the surgical procedure, the hospital and the treating physicians, as well as complications and revision procedures.
By evaluating this data, the EPRD can identify trends and risk factors in the implantation of hip prostheses. For example, the register can provide information on which implant types or surgical procedures produce particularly good results or which factors increase the risk of complications.
The EPRD also places particular emphasis on the long-term monitoring of hip prostheses. The register collects information on the lifespan of implants and can therefore provide information on possible quality problems.
Overall, the German Hip Arthroplasty Register contributes to improving the quality of care in the field of hip arthroplasty in Germany and increasing safety for patients.
The implants we use always have the very best results in the endoprosthesis registers.
