Hip dysplasia - periacetabular osteotomy PAO - Dr. Alexander Moser

 1. Hip dysplasia: due to a steep position of the hip socket (#acetabulum) and insufficient coverage of the femoral head (#dysplasia), the patient suffered damage to the rim of the socket (#labrum) and constant, severe #groin pain.

 2. The hip joint socket was rotated into the correct position in the pelvis. This is done exclusively in the bone. The bone has a very good healing tendency due to the good blood circulation. After completion of the bony wound healing (approx. 6 weeks), the

 #Hip joint can bear full weight again and the joint itself can heal and the pain disappears. #Hippain #Groinpain #periacetabular #PAO #Hipspecialist #Berlin #Dysplasia #Hipdysplasia #Moser #sportorthopedics #hipprosthesis

 3. The screws for temporary fixation are removed again. This only requires a small incision above the screw heads. This can even be done on an outpatient basis.

 4. cosmetic result (#bikini access)

Functionally, the young woman's hip is fully compensated after the PAO (periacetabular osteotomy) has healed and she is able to play sports again without pain.
