hip prosthesis at the highest level
Cosmetic result, six weeks after surgery for a minimally invasive hip prosthesis in an athlete – the skin incision is only slightly larger than the inserted implant.
Complete muscle protection and reconstruction of normal biomechanics ensure the best functional result. Modern minimally invasive surgical techniques (anterior approach, direct anterior approach, AMIS, ALMIS) have hardly any impact on the soft tissue structures. Modern, small implants preserve as much bone as possible.
Sports are also possible again with a hip replacement.
Long-lasting implants are particularly important for younger patients. High-quality implants have a long lifespan, and particular attention is paid to very good sliding pairs (ceramic - ceramic, ultra-highly cross-linked PE with Vit. E - ceramic), which hardly show any wear.
We have specialized in hip surgery for many years, and the goal is of course to avoid an endoprosthesis in younger patients.
Complete conservative, non-surgical treatment is the primary focus, but there are also many joint-preserving, minimally invasive operations (e.g. hip arthroscopy) to avoid or delay an endoprosthesis.
We are happy to advise you on hip pain and groin pain.
