Minimally invasive hip prosthesis for hip osteoarthritis
Thanks to a special minimally invasive, muscle-sparing surgical technique, an artificial hip joint (hip prosthesis) can be fully loaded again immediately after the operation. Blood loss is significantly reduced by the soft tissue-sparing surgical technique and if the hip operation is performed by a specialist, the complication rate is greatly reduced. Satisfaction is extremely high, as a normal gait pattern is quickly restored.
High-quality implants ensure that the artificial joint lasts a long time. If the surgeon also knows how to restore the normal anatomy of the hip, the best function is achieved. Even sports with an endoprosthesis can be resumed in the vast majority of cases. The short-stem prosthesis is superior to the standard stem if the bone quality is good.
The video shows the gait on the third day after a hip prosthesis implantation. The operation was carried out by the hip specialist Dr. Alexander Moser – www.sportorthopaedie.berlin.
