* What type of anesthesia will be used? – The patient will want to know what type of anesthesia will be used during surgery and what effects it might have.
* How is pain managed after surgery? – The patient wants information about how postoperative pain is controlled and what pain management options are available.
* What are the restrictions after surgery? – The patient wants to understand what activities they should temporarily limit or avoid after surgery.
* What will follow-up and rehabilitation be like? – The patient wants to receive information about what follow-up and rehabilitation will be like after surgery, including physical therapy and possible appointments to check progress.
This is just a small selection of the many questions that a patient asks before an operation, especially a hip prosthesis. Numerous other questions are still relevant for the patient and must be clarified individually.
