Hip arthroscopy shows very good long-term results. Especially among athletes, the return to sports rate after the surgical procedure is very high. However, a prerequisite for this is that femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is treated early, before severe joint damage occurs, and that the surgical procedure is performed by a specialist.
